Açaí (Euterpe oleracea)


The açaí palm is a palm native to the Amazon region, mainly found in humid and floodplain areas. It can reach approximately 20 to 25 meters in height and usually grows in clusters with several stems.

Its fruits are small, round, and dark purple when ripe, growing in large clusters. Açaí has great ecological, economic, and cultural importance, providing food for various wildlife species and serving as an important source of food and income for Amazonian communities.
