ILLEA – Roots of the Earth Project and Institutional Campaigns
Sustainable Development, Inclusion and Community Empowerment

The Roots of the Earth Social Project, developed by the Latin American Institute for Environmental Studies – ILLEA, promotes sustainable development, social inclusion and the appreciation of traditional knowledge, strengthening communities and creating new opportunities.

The initiative connects people, communities and the environment, encouraging sustainable practices, environmental education, responsible production and the conscious use of natural resources.

Its activities include community nurseries, cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants, native seedling production, training workshops and the development of sustainable products, contributing to income generation and strengthening the local economy.

The project especially values the participation of women, young people, family farmers, artisans and community leaders, encouraging empowerment, entrepreneurship and greater autonomy for participating families.

In addition to its social and economic benefits, Roots of the Earth contributes to biodiversity conservation, environmental restoration and protection of natural resources, helping build a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Did you know? Every seedling grown represents an opportunity to transform knowledge into income, environmental care and community development.
