To be a national and international reference organization in the promotion of environmental studies, sustainability and environmental protection, contributing to the construction of a more just, resilient society in balance with nature.
The ILLEA Institute envisions a future where human development occurs responsibly, respecting the limits of ecosystems, guaranteeing the right to life, the preservation of biodiversity, and environmental quality for current and future generations. The ILLEA Institute seeks to strengthen partnerships with governments, universities, civil society organizations, companies, and international bodies, expanding the impact of its actions and contributing to the construction of environmental solutions on a local, regional, and global scale.
Brazil occupies a privileged position in the global energy transition due to its electricity matrix, which is already more than 80% renewable (compared to the global average of about 30%). The connection between the environment and people.
Showing that environmental care generates a direct impact on health, income, education, and quality of life. Including communities, students, families, farmers, traditional peoples, young people, women, the elderly, etc.
Agroforestry and Silviculture: Projects that combine agricultural production with native forest restoration are attracting investments focused on ESG.
Large-Scale Restoration: Companies like re.green have secured significant funding (via the Climate Fund) for biodiversity restoration projects.
Quality of Credits: By 2026, the trend is to focus on "high integrity credits," which demonstrate not only carbon capture but also social benefits and biodiversity protection.
TYPES OF SOCIAL ACTIONS
Types of social actions: Environmental education, preventive health, green income generation, culture, social inclusion, community participation. Social impact generated: Reduction of inequalities, community strengthening, citizenship, local autonomy. To be a nationally recognized organization in environmental studies, recognized for its technical excellence, ethics, and social impact, contributing to the construction of a sustainable development model that respects nature, values ??scientific knowledge, and promotes quality of life for all of society.
We envision a Brazil in which environmental preservation goes hand in hand with economic growth, social justice, culture, and education, strengthening public policies, communities, and institutions committed to the future of the next generations. Our vision is to act as a center of knowledge, innovation, and socio-environmental transformation, promoting studies, research, projects, and actions that inspire responsible decisions, strengthen ecological awareness, and leave a positive legacy for the country and the planet.
To act at the intersection of preservation and sustainable development with innovation and technology. Environmental, focused on the preservation of natural resources. Social, geared towards quality of life and equity. Economic, without harming the environment. Including Culture and Institutional Politics, forming pillars of sustainability.
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Sustainable development seeks to balance three pillars: economic growth, environmental responsibility, and social inclusion. By incorporating technology and innovation into this process, we expand the capacity to create more efficient solutions, reduce impacts, and promote long-term sustainability. Therefore, acting at this intersection means building a model of progress that respects the planets limits, values ??scientific knowledge, and transforms environmental challenges into opportunities for a more resilient, secure, and sustainable future.
The main vision as a reference for sustainable development is the UNs 2030 Agenda, with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on eradicating poverty and hunger, protecting the planet, and ensuring peace and prosperity. Becoming a reference in sustainable development and biodiversity preservation through technical excellence and strategic partnerships.
The entity is reputable and operates in the public interest, on a non-profit basis, often addressing topics such as ecological economics, solidarity economy, and deep ecology. It focuses on the recovery of degraded areas, reforestation, neutralization and compensation of greenhouse gases (climate change) through clean energy sources, energy efficiency, reducing excessive consumption, and adopting sustainable practices.
It integrates local communities into conservationist business projects. It works in partnership with the State on ecological issues. It aims to be a reference in the production and dissemination of applied environmental knowledge, contributing to the conservation of ecosystems, addressing climate change, and building a sustainable society in Latin America.
